Pre Appointment text. Permanent makeup, stillwater

Preparing for your Medical Micropigmentation (Med Mic) appointment is crucial for optimal results. Follow our guidelines, including avoiding blood thinners, skin lightening products, and alcohol beforehand, and plan for proper aftercare. Bring reference photos and makeup to touch up for before and after photos.

  • If you have an ideal shape, color, or look in mind, bring a few reference photos with you to your appointment. You may also come to your appointment with your makeup done as you normally would, if you’d like a similar look, so we can take into consideration the look you prefer.

  • If you plan to go on a vacation or have a major life event (like a wedding), it is recommended to plan a minimum of 14 days after the procedure to allow proper time to heal before.

  • We require our clients to avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to their appointment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen.

  • If you are currently or regularly using any retinol, retin-a, or any other skin lightening products- you must stop using at least 2 weeks before tour procedure (4 weeks for prescription strength)

  • Wait at least 1 year after stopping accutane before any PMU procedure

  • Please let us know if you are currently on blood thinners, and we can discuss more in depth the type, amount, reason, and then will likely require your physician provide a signed consent that states:
    A) it’s is safe for you to continue taking AND get a PMU procedure done or
    B) it is safe for you to stop taking for X amount of time in order to safely get procedures done

  • NO tanning, no sunburns on the target area and surrounding areas (we will need to reschedule until when you’ve healed). As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.

  • If you are type 1 diabetic, please let us know in advance.

  • NO drinking alcohol, or taking anything that will thin the blood (like pain meds) for at least 24 hours before procedure

  • Please let us know of any existing medical conditions, or medications is you think they may contradict PMU procedures

  • We will be taking before & after photos.

  • You may come in the day of with makeup on if you prefer, we will be cleansing the entire area before and during procedure. You may bring in your makeup/foundation to touch up if you’d like for the after photos! Please feel free to bring pictures or your eyebrow products in for reference if you wish!

  • It is imperative to follow aftercare properly after you have PMU done in order to ensure proper healing, and ideal outcome. So please plan ahead for that (like no major beach vacations or under water swimming activities planned for 10+ days after).
